Interference caused by WLAN, microwave ovens and wireless telephones.Other wireless equipment around the camera or receiver may cause interference in the picture. WLAN, microwave ovens and wireless telephones may cause horizontal lines across the display and a clicking sound. This can be resolved by changing the frequency of the WLAN or the camera. Read more about changing channel of the camera in the User Guide. For assistance regarding changing frequency of the WLAN, please consult your WLAN support. Microwave ovens only cause interference when they are used.
Interference caused by one or more units are sending on the same channelIf you have more than one camera, or a horseCam/cowCam package with a videoLink, make sure that the cameras are sending on separate channels. Also make sure that the videoLink isn't sending on a channel that a camera is sending on, and not receiving on the channel that is set out by the videoLink.
Interference caused by non consistent power from the car (trailerCam, horseCam)Some cars provide a non consistent power output to the trailer. As the camera is receiving a non consistent power current it will also send a non consistent picture. This causes interferece "rolling" over the display. The issue can be resolved by adding our battery pack.
Interference caused by objects between camera and receiver, or too far between camera and receiverIf you experience interference when the receiver is placed closer to the camera, the interference is probably caused by one of the following: 1. Interfering objects between the sending and receiving antenna, for example trees, walls. 2. The distance between transmitter and receiver is too far. Check this by gradually moving the receiver towards the transmitter. It is important to remember that the stated range of our cameras is measured at a clear line of sight. The range may decrease extensively by for example concrete walls. 3. The antennas (horseCam, cowCam) do not point straight at each other. Always test where the antennas get the best signal possible before mounting them.
Very high contrastA picture where the contrast is very high is often caused by metal objects, for example downpipes, close to (within one meter) the antenna. Move the interfering objects or the antenna.
Bad picture quality caused by the position of the antennas (horseCam, cowCam)If the A300 antennas are mounted with the "spikes" vertically instead of horisontally you may experience interference or bad picture quality. Mount the antennas according to the User Guide/Quick Install Guide. It is also important to take care not to ben the cables too much in cold weather as this could break them.
Interference videoLinkIf you are using the videoLink and are experiencing intereference that goes away when you place your hand on the videoLink or remove the sending antenna, please contact our support for further assistance.
There is a ri ng of light in the middle of the pictureThe IR bulbs that makes the nightvision possible are placed in a ring around the lens of the camera. Therefore the nightvision light is a bit circle shaped.
The picture is black and white/almost no colour in the pictureWhen the environment around the camera is dark, the IR-light will turn on. The darker the surroundings, the more black and white the picture will be, as the camera goes from receiving many different colours of light, to IR light only. If the picture is black and white, even though the surroundings are well lit, try to move the camera to an even more lit up place. If the camera starts sending colour when doing this, the colour of the camera is OK. Sometimes a room is darker than it seems to be to the naked eye. If the colour doesn't improve, please contact our support. Describe your problem or refer to this paragraph.
Other interferenceIf you experience interference not mentioned above, please take the following actions: 1. Check the installation using the user guide. 2. Go through the troubleshooting for your specific product. (You can find this in your user guide, or on this page.) 3. Contact our support team.
